One of my interests related to research inquiry is the application of relevant theories from consumer behavior social psychology to the study of the leisure and sport marketplace. In particular, I am interested in the involvement, specialization, and loyalty of sport spectators and leisure participants and have completed a variety of studies on these topics. My second research interest is related to leisure behaviors of immigrants, volunteers, and adolescents. I have recently published papers related to acculturation, leisure motives, employees’ organizational commitment, posttraumatic growth, serious leisure, leisure participants’ involvement and loyalty, volunteerism, etc.
